Hotel Banke, located in the centric Opera neighborhood, is known for its majestic 20th century building that once was a bank’s headquarters. Settled in an early 20th century building designed by the French architects Paul Friesé and Joseph Cassien-Bernard, the hotel presents a mixture of styles while maintaining the essence of the building’s history. Once the headquarters of a bank, it was refurbished in 2009 to be converted into the hotel it is today. Upon entering the hotel one steps into the astonishing lobby that stands out for the wide open space, the ceiling’s glass dome and the roman-style floor mosaic, as well as the mix of red and gold accents.
