Staff was very friendly and when there was an error with my booking he sorted it out all without any issues
The fact that I booked two rooms through the HRS reservation site and only one was booked upon my arrival - this is the second time this has happened to me. Very frustrating

Basically no hot water. The shower was luke warm.
The receptionist on check out was also rather rude and barely acknowledged us. We stood there like lemmings waiting for a response to say we were alright to go but we didn't even get eye contact.

I was disappointed in the fact that l asked for 2 drinks in the bar and both wine stocks had run out

The sink in the bathroom was blocked. I reported it to reception, and also left a note asking housekeeping to sort it out. Nothing was done. I reported it a second time and the guy from reception was helpful, but unable to unblock the sink. No other rooms were available. 2 nights with a blocked sink isn't really acceptable. No alternate room was offered. I asked and was told none were available.

The willingness to refund the cost of my evening meal.
I am a regular customer to the Travelodge and have never encountered a problem until now. I ordered an evening meal and was left extremely disappointed with the quality of the starter (garlic mushrooms) and main meal (Lasagne). The garlic mushrooms dish was missing the actual mushrooms and was basically just sauce that was served on what appeared to be a frozen or stale ciabatta bread. You could not cut the bread with a knife. The lasagne was so thin I thought it was a slice of toast and it was all hard a burnt around the edges and hard in the middle. I have taken a photo should you wish me to forward a copy. Having driven for almost 5 hours to get there, I went to bed hungry, tired and extremely disappointed. Not the usual service that I have experienced from the Travelodge. I would still recommend the hotel (but not the food).
