The 4-star hotel Catalonia Duques de Bergara in Barcelona was built in 1899 and designed by the architect Emilio Salas y Cortès, who was a master of Gaudi. This Modernist building was built in 1898 by the famous architect Emilio Salas y Cortés (a professor of Gaudí). The entry hall with the marble staircase leading to the first floor has been preserved from the main building. On the first floor you will find impressive mahogany doors from Cuba and the original moulded ceiling and dome. Along the building`s main staircase, the wrought iron handrail has been preserved and the original paintings restored. Moreover, our guests can enjoy the exclusive services of an outdoor swimming pool, solarium and parking facility. The hotel`s El Duc restaurant features delicious Mediterranean cuisine.
