Negative: -very, very, very noisy hotel! 1st: there are major construction works going on right in front of the hotel. and this will continue to be so for the next 2 months or so. 2nd: the hotel as such is very noisy. you here all your neighbours - also those on different floors - as if they were in your room.
-wireless did not work in hotel room on third floor (but in the reception). staff simply said that this couldnt be and told me off.
-we had flowers and i asked kindly for a vase or a bigger glass. staff just said no and turned away.
Positive: The guys working in reception were very friendly and spoke good english. The location is pretty good, only 10 mins walk from the main street. The breakfast was nothing out of this world but decent enough. The bed was pretty comfortable
Negative: The bathroom left a lot to be desired. Old soviet style with sandpaper-style towels. The shower didn´t drain properly and, thinking the staff wasn´t aware of this problem, we told the man in reception who said "ah yes, that´s a problem with number 15!". Its good my husband had a shower first as I can´t see a thing without my glasses and would never have realised the shower was overflowing!! decor of the room is not great and is lit up by a very dim light bulb.
Negative: No internet in the rooom!!!
Late checkout 15:00 not possible;normal check out is 10:30; This is not mentioned in the room;has to be improved!
Key of room need to be given for every walk out to reception; not save feeling as others can go in the room when they ask/get the wrong key.
Unhaappy that the free services (like wireless in room and late check out ) are not true; that is the reason for selection; else we do not book.
Positive: Shower drainage was blocked and after we mentioned it to the manager we were given a different room. Overall very good value for money. Friendly staff. No-frills hotel, but the location of the hotel serves as a good starting point for exploring Prague.
Negative: A bit sparse on the towels in the bathroom.
