- The traditional city hotel DAR in Prague used to be a hotel in 1870 and was reopened in 2007. Today the building is one of the most beautiful in Prague. Positive: cleanliness in room and at breakfast was of a very high standard. Staff at front desk were always helpful - nice quiet area very close to OLD TOWN / clock square.
Negative: i would have like to have at least 2 channels - one from Czech and one in English on the TV !! I could only view 2 Russian channels or 2 German language channels .... nothing local esp. for weather reports!! The other factor was the lack of 'air' on the 3rd floor, though a fan was priovided .... which helped - but it was quite hot and stuffy in the room during the night!!
