- Hotel OPERA is a family-owned hotel which can be found in the centre of Prague, in the area known as New Town (hotel is about a 20-minute walk from both the Charles Bridge and Wenceslas Square). The hotel itself is located in an historic, seven-storey Neorenaissance building which was built in 1890. It was thereafter reconstructed in 1935-38 and in 1994-97. The hotel has 67 four-star rooms, including two suites and six deluxe rooms. Each room has satelite TV, a radio, direct dial telephone and internet access, a minibar, a room safe as well as air-condition. There is a restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel that serves traditional Czech dishes such as Svícková na smetane as well as international specialties in a pleasant environment. In addition to the restaurant, there is also a separate bar, which enables our guests to sample the Czech Republic`s world famous beer and other local drinks such as Becherovka after a full day of sightseeing. Other hotel amenities include room, concierge, business and valet parking services, a dry sauna and fitness room and private meeting rooms available for business and social functions. If our guests do not feel like driving in Prague, the subway station, Florenc, is located approximately 100 meters from the hotel. - Hotel OPERA is easily recognisable pink Neorenaissance building. It is located in the centre of Prague, in the area known as New Town. T There is also a metro station Florenc only 200 metres far. And we are easily reachable by car. If the guests do no feel like driving or using the public transport, they can walk, as it takes only 20 minutes to both the Old Town Square and the Wenceslas Square.

Negative: Our room was with a balcony but it was useless since it was flooded with rain water (can't they make a hole in the floor???). We complained that aircon makes noise every minute - nothing was done (we had to remove the ceiling plate which trembled viciously ourselves). Nobody was at the desk at 6 am to check us out but they insisted that we should wait until they go up and count all dirty sheets, towels and glasses I guess as in a cheapy third world hotel. Grumpy waiter would care less that some items are gone from the breakfast buffet (fresh batch of pancakes can be fried in no time but nobody cared!)
Positive: Well located. Werll kept. Reasonable and good food quality.
Negative: Staff looked discreet. Hotel gave an isolated appearance. Staff busy in talking to themselves. Customer care was lacking. Staff needs to be trained. Tea kettle facility should be provided.
