Positive: Me and my boyfriend were very satisfied with the choice of this hotel and would definitely chose is again. It is located in a nice and quite area not far from the river and the walk to the old town takes only about 20 min, otherwise you can take a tram directly to the center. The room was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the breakfast very good (variety of breads, ham, cheese, jams, sausages, cereals, yogurt, fruits, etc.). Apart from the breakfast the restaurant also offers really delicious meals and also traditional czech cuisine and hotel guests get 20% discount on everything. Both the hotel an the restaurant accept cash in euros or czech crownes and credit cards. This hotel was an excelent value for the money we had paid and we would recommend it to everyone.
Positive: Reception was friendly and helpful. Both English and German were spoken at reception and in the bar and restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to friends who are planning a visit to Prague.
Negative: The beds were very hard.
The satellite TV (English and German channels) was out of order, but I learned some Czech!
Positive: the staff are very nice and willing to help. And the hotel decoration and atmosfere are of very good taste. I would certainly go back to U Semika if visiting Praga again!
Positive: The room we stayed seemed to be renovated recently. The room was clean and somewhat comfortable - better than expected. The location is the best if one wants to visit the area of Vysehrad. Vysehrad is just one or two minutes walk from the hotel.
Negative: There were many shit from dogs walking up the street in front of the hotel. This is not the fault of the hotel but could have been annoying.
Positive: The restaurant was an excellent value for the cost. A wonderful selection of crusines and the portions were more than ample. The staff were all friendly and very helpful.
Positive: Very nice hotel. I was not expecting that. I recommend it.
Negative: THe rooms don't have air-conditionning and in summer I think it will be quiet hot, especially in romms located in the fifth floor
