Easy to walk there, 10-15 mins from GdN.
Breakfast in basement, nice room, food partly very good.
negativ: Breakfast time until 10 is too short for Paris, should be longer
The croissants were not really good for Paris, we bought some at the boulangerie normandie at rue Riquet, opposite of Restaurant Roi du café
One room was freshly painted, strong smell
The other room was pretty small, especially bathroom
WIFI did not really work well, was very difficult to connect
positiv: Pretty much what one would expect from a European-bargain-**-hotel. Clean & organized. Good staff. Simple, but good breakfast. Rooms and public spaces in building obviously being care for. Good wireless internet. Two blocks from Metro. One might wonder what kind of neigborhood this is in on first glance, but I had no problems or concerns. One goes to this hotel to sleep and get back on the town, not to be a destination of its own. Will stay again.
negativ: Neighborhood a bit noisy... fire station nearby, lots of foot traffic. This isn't the hotel's fault, and the rooms are quieter and feel more secure with window closed-- OK for early spring, but could be a problem in warmer weather. Leave the key at the front desk when you are out-- what's with that?
positiv: Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Personnel agréable et efficace. Chambre spacieuse (rare à Paris pour cette catégorie d'hôtel). Environ 10 minutes à pied de la gare du nord et moins de 5 minutes de la station de métro 'La Chapelle'.

negativ: room v small with no mirror, bathroom tiny.
