Style of hotel and ambience

Formerly the royal hunting lodge of Princesse Adélaïde, sister of King Louis Philippe, this historic monument stands at the edge of an immense forest with breathtaking views over the Allier valley.  Nowadays it has become an elegant and welcoming chateau hotel with charming rooms and a restaurant, on the terrace in the summer, serving both gastronomic menus and a simpler menu du jour.  The castle is surrounded by a lovely 22 hectare park with a terrace, outdoor swimming pool and French garden.
