The 4-star Hotel de Rome is one of the few luxury hotels in Berlin. The 146 elegant rooms are located in a classical building of 1889, home of the Dresdner Bank until 1945. Guests may dine at the beautiful restaurant, facing an external terrace. A ballroom and 5 meeting rooms for up to 160 persons are at disposal. In a spa with sauna, steam bath and 20 meter swimming pool guests can relax and enjoy beauty treatments.

Positive: all services associated with reception, rooms was excellent lobby area at back more agreeable than I thought at first sight, but too cramped with furniture

Negative: breakfast was inadequate for 5*: buffet, cheese slices, unseasonal fruit corridor lighting extremely unwelcoming restaurant decor is unwelcoming, bland bar area lighting is disabreable for guests once they sit down
