Positive: excellent all round
Negative: Cost of breakfast was very high. We breakfasted outside.
Positive: The staff was top notch, could not have been better. The breakfast was outstanding and again the service was great. The location was perfect; a subway station is located just across the street and most major attractions are within walking distance. We arrived by train at the new main station and were able to reach the hotel via the “S Bahn” and subway without difficultly.
Negative: The hotel is first class but is overdue remodeling. The furniture and fixtures are showing their age. It was difficult to regulate the water temperature and pressure in the shower because it kept changing. I had to push the showerhead away more than once to prevent scalding. The pipes also made a great racket at times…not the sort of thing you would expect at a 5 star facility. Our room was small but comfortable and clean.
