From main train station by bus: From the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). Take line 132 near Cologne Cathedral to Waidmarkt. Cross Mühlenbach to the hotel).
By Car: Take on-ramp A559 and exit off-ramp Centrum/Severinsbrücke. After crossing the Rhine turn right on the second street at the sign Severinstraße. Then go two blocks to Blaubach and turn right at the traffic light. Then turn left on the first traffic light to Hohe Pforte 5-7.

positiv: Location is reasonable for walking downtown Cologne and cathedral.
negativ: Not for the handicapped or mobility limited. No elevator and stairs are long. Rooms do not lock automatically and must be locked with key on the inside.
Beds were small and not comfortable; barely adequate. The building is aging. Hotel has 3 parking spaces and contracted parking for hotel is a 12/15 minute walk away (too far) and is 6 Euro a day and can be full at busy times.
