Hyatt Regency Cologne was built in 1988 and for the last three years now we have been steadily renovating the interior and exterior of the hotel. We are not quite finished yet and know that there is still some room for improvement. I am happy to announce that since January 2013, wireless LAN access is included in the room rate in our Club Rooms and Suites. In addition, we offer our guests the Hyatt Business Plan, which is a special room offer including high-speed Internet access, daily newspaper, mineral water and the dry-cleaning of one item per day. positiv: Nothing really positive to add.
negativ: This hotel is totally over rated. I've had better service at a 3 star hotel. Door cards consistently do not work and then they insist on some form of ID before they will give new cards. Even if all personal detail can be given. management were no better at dealing with the problem. Dinner at the Hotel restaurant was horrific. Prices are outrageous, while quantities are extremely small. I was embarressed as I had guests and service was exceptionally slow. It took 1 hour 50 minutes to receive our meal. Even the waiter was embarressed as he brought us sorbet even though we had eaten nothing. He said this was to compensate for our wait. Internet fees are extremely expensive when one considers what the hotel charge for accomodation is. Certainly not value for money at all and I would certainly not recommend this hotel to anyone.
