positiv: Well what can I say... THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME! I wanted to impress my girlfriend with a really nice authentic European Gasthaus and this one REALLY did the trick. The weather was bad so we couldn't see the alps, but I could tell the view WOULD have been breathtaking. The room we stayed in was only 99 euros a night and it had a full kitchen, living room, bathroom, porch, and TV. Next time I go skiing in Garmisch I'm going to try my darnedest to get the Zugspitz room again. (All the rooms there are different but equally awesome.) Every morning at 8:30 the owner had breakfast ready for us... it was small but plenty for just the two of us. (Also, there was no one else there in Sept. when we went so we had a private breakfast.) I can't say enough about how great the room was... it was just beautiful. I'm reccommending this place to all of my friends. Did I mention the owner is really nice too? Her english is a little rusty but we had a mixed german/english conversation for about and hour!
negativ: Well there wasn't a phone in our room that I could see so that was a bit of a bummer. The only thing that was really a bummer was the weather! She has this AMAZING patio and front lawn where you can sun-bathe while admiring the alps... but alas... it was all covered by clouds. Apparently when the weather is really nice she serves breakfast on the patio so you can look at the alps and pretty scenery while you enjoy your food. But that darn weather!!
