positiv: People at the reception desk are helpful, responsive to requests, and friendly. Physical atmosphere in the restaurant is lively and interesting.
negativ: Attention to detail by housekeeping staff was questionable; for example, a) towels were not replaced on one of my nights, so I needed to ask reception to provide a replacement; b) on another night, housekeeping left a bottle of window cleaner on the bathroom window sill.
I was left with a negative impression of arrogance and lack of concern for potential customers in the way I was informed that that the restaurant was fully booked in response to my request for a seat in the dining room. It was almost as if I was being looked upon as an annoyance to them for simply asking the question.
positiv: I had a brilliant stay here. It was any easy walk to all of the sights and there was a train station in short walking distance (heidelberg-karlstor). The food and atmosphere at the restaurant was great. It was busy both nights, but I was able to walk in at 8 pm for dinner with no reservation. It was a perfect choice for a single traveller, but I think it would be great for others (business/families/small groups).
