By Train
Stazione Termini is the first place that tourists see on arriving in the centre of Rome whether arriving by train or catching a coach from one of the two airports. On arriving at Termini by train head towards the right of the station onto Via Marsala. Turn right and walk down the street. Take Via Castro Pretorio, the second street on your left. Walk straight down this street and cross Viale Pretoniano. This street is Viale dell’Università and the Domus Castrense Guest House Rome is situated at number 25.
By Air
Arriving at the Guest House Domus Castrense from both Fiumicino’s Leonardo Da Vinci airport and Ciampino airport is straight forward. Frequent trains run from Fiumicino to Stazione Termini with a journey time of 30-40 minutes. From Ciampino the best way of arriving at Stazione Termini is by bus. Numerous bus companies operate outside Ciampino airport taking new arrivals to Via Marsala beside Stazione Termini Rome. The Domus Casrense Guest House can organise either return or one-way transfers from the airport to the hotel.
The Domus Castrense Guest House is easily reached by car. When driving to Rome on the motorway you will meet the Grande Raccordo Annulare, Rome’s all-encompassing ring road. Head towards Civitavecchia/Rieti/Roma Nord and exit the GRA toward the centre of Rome on Via Salaria. After 6 km keep to your right and head towards Piazza Vescovio/Tangenzial Est/Via Nomentana and take the Circonvallazione Salaria. The Circonvallazione Salaria becomes Tangenziale Est, Circonvallazione Nomentana. Turn right on to Via Tiburtina. After just under a kilometre turn right into Via del Castro Laurenziano. Then turn left into Viale dell’Università and the Guest House Domus Castrense is located at number 25.

Positive: great value for money. Alfredo and Massimo are doing an excellent job.For the newcomers remember bus line no 492 it stops some meters from the hotel on via pretorio and by using your free line ticket you can go almost everywhere just by changing buses.Thank you for everything.
