- Set in the Gauja National Nature Park, in a walking distance to Gauja River and a ferry crossing, the hotel Lacu Miga, is situated on the outskirts of the historic town of Līgatne, 1 hour’s drive from Riga and a 90 minutes’ drive from Riga Airport. The village of Līgatne was built around the paper mill, still extant and worth visiting.

Directions to hotel
Take a train from Riga main station to Ligatne ( in the direction of Cesis). From Ligatne station there are buses( not a frequent service) to Gaujas iela. It is 6 km , so quite long walk , if there is no bus. You can get out of the bus at the door of Lacu Miga. An alternative to the train is to take a bus from the outskirt of Riga ( the no. 6 tram terminus) to Augsligatne. From there take the bus to Lacu Miga, as above.
Take Brivibas str. out of Riga pass by Sigulda, until you reach a road sign for Augsligatne. Continue until the main road starts to go down a hill. Take a turn into a small road on the left, signposted to Ligatne. The junction has a large sign for Lacu Miga hotel. Follow the small road for about 6km, until it starts to wind downwards through a deep forest and past another road sign for Ligatne. At the bottom of the hill opposite a pond turn left, following signs to Lacu Miga.
