Directions to hotel
from the central station you can take all three metro lines, and get out at Weesperplein, you walk up the stairs and take exit Amstel, you walk 200 meters up to the river, then turn left the hotel is on your right hand side next to the Carre theater.
from the ring highway amsterdam A10 you follow center or Rai, and then you take the S110 following the Amstel river, at the end left, then the first to the right and at the end to the right again over the big bridge and you will see the Bridge hotel which is located next to the Carre theater.

positiv: Quiet place close to the center
negativ: I arrived earlier and my room was cleaned up last that day, so I got in after the official check in time, waiting last 45min in the lobby
positiv: Our room was recently renovated, very nice bathroom facility. Loved the breakfast.
positiv: The location is good. Unfortunately, the location is one of very few things that make it worth staying in.
negativ: Contrary to the description there is no parking near the hotel. The nearest garage is quite far and is extremely expensive. Street parking is impossible to find unless you are more than familiar with the area. It cost me €80 to park for only two days. I was under the impression, from the hotel description, that parking was either included or discounted. Additionally, there is no black-out cover for the windows so sunlight comes into the room quite early. Finally, there is no air-conditioning. It was quite hot the night we stayed, so we opened the windows and were repeatedly bitten by mosquitoes. There was no window-screen and the hotel sits between two canals. This hotel has a new paint job and trendy decor, but in reality it is nothing like a real hotel. I was very disappointed, especially considering the price and all other costs.
positiv: Very quiet and clean with pleasant staff.
negativ: Only discovered soap missing from bathroom when taking shower. Broken bedlight and shaving light. Tea and coffe making facilities would be a welcome addition to room.
