positiv: nice room deco, best location in the city, 5 min walk from airport bus stop, central of shopping district and Rambla
positiv: Great location with easy access to large parking facility (and special rate)
negativ: Location of mini bar was strange / hidden. Believe it or not, we actually couldn't find it and had to ask front desk.
positiv: Excellent hotel that I would stay at next time I am in Barcelona. Location could not be better and hotel design amazing.
positiv: 1) best possible location for sightseeing. walking access to all neighborhoods. 2) quiet street 3) styling decor 4) friendly and helpful staff 5) nice roof-deck
negativ: have lots of operational issues to address 1) both TV/cable and WIFI access in my room didn't work; 2) shut down roof deck on both Fri and Sat night for parties; 3) party held sat night in the restaurant echoed loudly through the hotel until 2AM; 4) the rooms have little outside noise but much inside noise due to the atrium; 5) room wasn't cleaned even though it was empty from 10a - 2p; If the property were to address these issues through better management, I would give the hotel a much higher rating.
positiv: Very modern and well presented hotel. Excellent location with friendly/helpful staff.
negativ: Our first room was very small and dull but reception moved us immeadiatly to a better room after we asked. Very little atmosphere and it felt like a hotel more suited for business people than people visiting Barcelona for fun and sightseeing.
positiv: All high marks the Pulitzer has received (ideal location, elegant design, well-appointed rooms, courteous and helpful staff, reasonable prices) are fully deserved. It would appear, indeed, a perfect choice - for a traveler blessed with sound sleep, that is.
negativ: By way of design, full attention was paid to what meets the eye, but less so to what hits the ear. One design feature, namely dark wooden parquet flooring, is found in the hallways (interspersed with patches of carpet) as well as throughout the rooms (no carpets at all). The hollow steps of (the Pulitzer's mostly well-heeled guests) can be heard from the hallways (with 2 flights of 6 wooden steps on each floor) and from the adjacent room(s). It was clearly an omission not to soundproof the doors around the rims (at night, light from the hallway is shining brightly into the room through wide gaps between door and frame) which could have much reduced the in-house noise level for guests - without compromising on the design.
positiv: - Convenient location - Cool architecture
negativ: - I would not want to remind them what HRS services they were suppsosed to provide - Not receiving them leaves a bad taste of overselling - Check-in procedure lastes forever
