negativ: They are supplying only soap, shampoo and bed. We had a 9 hour bus travel from Barcelona to Madrid. I especially mentioned for early check in. But they didn't do that. Also the guy at the reception (front desk) didn't behave us as a human being. He didn't looked at our face, he rejected all our polite requests. After blackmailing him with complaining about him to his manager, he turned 180 degrees and started to apologise. The only personel with whom I contacted was so rude...
positiv: Located in the very heart of Madrid, 1 minute from Sol, Placa Mayor, 5 minutes - Prado, Gran Via, wonderful location, many night clubs, terraces, caffees around for young people !!!!
negativ: the walls should be more decorated and repainted but the room was clean, with a small balcony, plasma TV, clean new bathroom, safe - 50 cents for each opening..
positiv: Location is very nice. Hostal workers are very helpful. Rooms are very clean. That was OK for me.
negativ: Several people knocking each other's doors. A bit noisy from time to time. Or may be there were many people living in one room.
positiv: New renovated room (not quite ready yet?), clean
negativ: Small lobby, narrow stairs, after which the room was a nice suprice
positiv: Excellent location. Well equipped room. Well built out WiFi covering well the whole hotel.
negativ: Receptionist spoke (almost) only Spanish. The WiFi did not work with the WiFi adapter in my computer (for unknown reasons), but it did work with a second USB adapter I had. The receptionist knew only the access key (code) but no technical details about the network helping me to connect. The safe in my room was of the type "put-a-coin-take-the-key". However the value of the coin indicated was 100 pesetas (sic!). Tried with a Euro that was taken without locking the key. Receptionist claimed it should take one Euro coins, but did nothing with my safe that rested useless. Quite some noise from the reception and the corridor from people coming back late at night or checking out early if you are unlucky with your draw of room (like I was).
