From Palma go to Plaza de España where you can take the old train to Soller (3 or more trains per day depending on the season). You arrive just in front of the hotel.
Travelling between AIRPORT OF PALMA - SOLLER:
> Drive towards the direction of Palma.
> After aproximatively 5km, take the VIA CINTURA on your right (Direction ANDRATX).
> After aproximatively 2km get out of the motorway towards Sóller.
> Follow straight ahead 20km towards Sóller, take the tunnel. You may also take trough the mountain - it´s longer but the views on the landscape are beautifull .
> After the tunnel, take the first exit of the second roundabout (direction Sóller centro). Follow the road signs Gran Hotel Soller for about 1km into the city. When you have the Gran Hotel on your left, follow the tramway tracks straight for 500m. You will pass the main plaza (de la constitución) with the church and arrive in front of the train station (ferrocariles de Sóller) on Plaza D´Espanya. This is where you can park for a moment to take off your luggage. On the right side there is a small kids playground, our garden is right behind it. The main entrance is situated on Calle Isabel II n°13, first road on the right before Plaza D´Espanya.

positiv: Can Isabel is a charming hotel in a lovely location. The ambience was good; the service faultless but there with an unpleasant ending to our stay.
negativ: When we went to pay our bill by credit card the transaction was not accepted; ditto with my wife’s credit and my debit card. We were told we would have to pay by cash. After a 7-night stay, our bill was not the type of pocket money I carry normally on holiday, especially not at the end when most of our spending money has been used up. Antonio went to great lengths to assure me that the problem was his machine not our cards showing me that 4 of 5 recent transactions had been rejected forcing guests to pay by cash. There have been previous reviews mentioning identical incidents back in Oct and August 2007; a full 10 months previously! Why have apparently no steps been taken to sort the problem out? Having to withdraw cash to pay our bill caused great stress and inconvenience as well as incurring extra charges. This unpleasant experience was totally due to the hotel not rectifying a recurring problem or notifying guests on booking that payment of their bill would have to be by c
