Birmingham International: Directions: Bear right onto Concorde Rd, right onto Vanguard Rd left onto Airport left onto Airport Way. At roundabout take 3rd exit onto A45. Branch left and at roundabout take 1st exit onto Pendigo Way. Keep on this road till you reach the hotel. ## East Midlands Airport: Directions: Left on Viscount Rd.At roundabout take 4th exit.At traffic lights turn left.At roundabout take 2nd exit (A453).At roundabout take 2nd exit (A42).At J11 continue on M42.At J6 leave M42 follow NEC signs.At roundabout take exit on Pendigo Way. ## Manchester International Airport: Directions: M42 north, exit junction 9 onto M6, exit onto A556(Signposted Manchester) continue forward onto M56 (Signposted all the way to destination) ## Directions to our Hotel: From Birmingham International Airport, bear right onto Concorde Road, turn right onto Vanguard Road and then bear left onto Airport Way. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit then merge onto Coventry Road A45 (signposted M42, M6, M1, M40, M5, Coventry). Branch left (signposted M42, M6, M1, M40, M5, NEC), then at the roundabout take the first exit onto Pendigo Way (signposted NEC). At the roundabout take the first exit into the car park of the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel.

Positive: The hotel staff were very helpful and the location is excellent.
Negative: Given that people on business stay at the hotel (the company I work for being a major user) and have to be up the next morning for breakfast and work it is ridiculous that you put people in rooms above a function suite where the band is playing until 2 o'clock in the morning. I appreciate that the function rooms are a revenue generator but surely it would be sensible to put the function room attendee's in the rooms directly above the function room itslef. I was exhausted the next morning and not very happy.

Ironing board and iron in room, very useful.
Excellent value for money at Steria rate.
Negative: Hotel needs to signpost more clearly where breakfast is served. I had to ask a member of staff.
Rooms were cramped and in a dingy (older?) part of the hotel
Positive: I really liked the swimming pool facility - a good sized pool, decent changing rooms and good opening hours
Negative: the bed was very firm, the TV had poor reception and limited channels
Positive: Very well organised; well set up to cater for large numbers of guests. Good value for money; very prodessional.
Negative: Car parking capacity limited - would be useful to understand before arriving where overflow would be.
Positive: Good Lounge meal well presented
Negative: A really disgusting experience for a HH Silver member, very bad room in a dormatory annex, - paper thin walls, massive noise from rowing drunks and noisy children, very hard mattress, no possibility of sleep. Asked reception if a move was possible and was advised that only the same type of room on a lower floor was available. Clerk could not guarantee that the mattress would be any softer Checked out at midnight and went home, Duty Manager was present when I was checked out by clerk but ignored my complaints. I will not be returning to this hotel either as a corporate or private visitor.
Positive: The room service meal was excellent - tasty and enjoyable. The meal arrived on time and was high quality.
Negative: The room was a touch cold and there was not thermostatic control to adjust this, I believe the draft was coming from the balcony door. The television switched itself off at a certain time with a message stating there was no signal, not good when I was part way through a film! I thne switched to a different station which also switched itself off with the same message after about half an hour - I gave up and went to sleep.
Positive: Very friendly staff, good service standard
Negative: No Tea / Coffee in rooms
Positive: I booked on HRS and got a very good price
Negative: There is allegedly a shuttle service to and from the airport/train station. However I couldn't find signs or guides anywhere in either location, and when I asked for the shuttle return, a taxi was called.
Positive: The hotel is close to the NEC, so convenient for shows there and rates can be inexpensive.
Negative: I understand parts of the hotel have been refurbished, but the old part (where the bargain priced rooms are) has no internet access, very small rooms and is badly in need of renovations.: cracks in the ceiling, mold in the bathroom, tiles coming loose, etc.
Positive: Breakfast is always lovely
Negative: First room I was given was dirty and had screws stickig out of the wall (dangerous) and absolutely tiny. I asked to move and was charged £20 for the privilege. When I got to the new room my towels had black marks on them.

Negative: how to pay for food not explained properly at the bar, I was left confused.

Negative: I have marked the hotel down this time as I was given a twin room when I had booked a double. However, althought the room was small the bed was surprisingly comfortable. I could have changed to a double but it would have been a smoking room.
Negative: Hotel quotes a low room rate but charges excessively for other services including a service charge on a self-service restaurant.
The standard of restaurant food is well below that expected at these prices.
Negative: Restaurant options in the hotel were very limited and over priced.
Positive: Always have a good experience, the staff are always willing to help
Negative: would expect our company to agree business lounge access for all stays.
Negative: room service breakfast was an hour late and not full order on 2nd day. I was not charged for it and when I poujnted this out to reception I also got free parking for the night so I was satsified with how it was handled.
Positive: Facilities at Hotel and location good for our office, motorways & airport.
Negative: Room overlooking Hotel maintenance area, no wifi (not as advertised!), bathroom tiny, overflow on bath constantly running into bath with cold water, toilet leaking when flushed. Strange clicking sound from room ceiling. Someone had been sick in the hotel foyer as it hadn't been cleaned or a sign left in the 15 minutes since I came downstairs to check out.
