positiv: Room and bed ok.
negativ: Although I had rung ahead to say I'd be late, the evening attendant clearly had trouble geting into system to find my details. When eventually he got me checked in, he was unable to find my priority club details though I gave him the number. Breakfast juice tasted as if diluted.
positiv: very modern and comfortable. Staff were very helpful
negativ: The temperature in the rooms was very cold and I had to obtain a portable heater. Unfortunately it made staying there uncomfortable
negativ: Reception & available channels of the TV were poor (grainy quality, with terrestrial channels only).
Pillows were definitely not the most comfortable either!
negativ: Original room given hadn't been prepared from last guest so needed a different room. On the plus they didn't charge me fr my dinner in compensation for the inconvenience. Breakfast was limited to sausages, beans and scrambled egg and almost all of that was gone- have stayed in other Holiday Inn Expresses's where there was more available.
positiv: Good ambience, very clean bathroom, bedrooms.
negativ: Bad Quality Breakfast, Reception were not at all welcoming and not so helpful. No big options for Dinner and saw many people go out to the pub next door for dinner.
positiv: Room was clean and serviced
negativ: Food selection was poor, breakfast terrible.
negativ: Parking is extra. Breakfast is just continental. Felt like I was staying in a block of appartments with a concierge rather than at a hotel. Further to the ofice than the holiday Inn which I am sure would have been better but then again it's more expensive but would have included full breakfast, free parking and less travel cost/time.
negativ: Now charge for car parking £5 per day. This use to be free
positiv: neat and clean
negativ: Directions to hotel and full address (including street name) would have been helpful as the satnav did not recognise this hotel nor the address given on their website - unfortunately some satnav will not accept postcode and instead ask for street name & place.
