Positive: Convenient location, reasonable price, clean and offers the basic needs for a short stay.
Negative: No real negative notes, it is what it is.
Positive: Close walking distance to Oxford street
Negative: Administration of checking in and out was a bit cumbersome and long-winded.
Positive: location of the hotel
Negative: a/c out of order. leaking from shower, fridge not working
Negative: Poor staff. Reception felt like a hostel rather than a hotel. Bathroom only had shower - and smelled of damp
Positive: Good value for what I paid. Location great. Bed linen and towels exceptionally clean and fresh. Staff polite.
Negative: Room a bit shabby. walls need repainting. Carpet and seat upholstery stained. Room and hallway very hot - poor air conditioning in room. Mini safe did not work. Shower power very poor - probably worst shower I have ever used.
Negative: The king size bed was enclosed on three sides making it impossible for the person on the inside to get up to use the facilities without crawling over the other one. We had to sleep sideways on the bed with our feet sticking out. When I booked it stated that there was a full english breakfast included but this has changed since we booked and we had to eat a continental breakfast, croisants & bread, not good if an allergy to yeast. Also the girls who cleared the tables looked so miserable. I need to eat cooked food because I cannot eat bread. I complained to the receptionist who was foreign but was told nothing could be done to change it and when I asked for a refund for the next night it was refused. We left the hotel and went home spending £110 for a night we didn't spend in the hotel. I am disgusted. I thought the hotel was clean but nothing else to warrant four star.
Positive: The staff on arrival were very friendly and couldn't have been nicer in recommending places to eat
Negative: Staff on departure were completely the opposite and you had to push them to get any information. They were different staff members for the arrivals staff.
Negative: The single bed room is tiny and has NO WINDOWS !!!!!!!!!!!!! The airconditioning did not work, which resulted in a sleeplessness. The key card holder fell to pieces, the door handle fell off, There was no shelf in the bathroom to put the cosmetics. I asked for a refund and wanted to leave the hotel, the manager was unavailable and the surrounding hotels were all full. So I was forced to stay. I booked the hotel because it was rated as a 4 star with HRS. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a hotel and believe me, I have been around the globe.
Positive: Friendly staff. Fairly central location. Plenty of storage space.
Negative: Rooms and facilities v basic. No idea where the hot tub was (as shown on hotel photos). In no way whatsoever was this a boutique hotel. Basic breakfast. Info on London in hotel was non existant - couldn't even provide a map of london - v poor. Overall it was simply a very basic hotel, nothing special about it at all. Windows were most certainly NOT soundproof!! (not even double glazing - secondary glazing). Noisy location as hotel situated on a main route out of London.
Positive: Clean and bright rooms with the comfiest bed ever! Ideal for anyone just wanting a base, nothing fancy but clean, friendly and good location.
Negative: Receptionist unsure of nearby tube stations or London areas in general. During the afternoon unable to get a cool bottle of Champagne from the bar, had to wait half an hour for them to place in the cooler
Positive: Very clean room, super shower, aircon was superb in the room
Negative: Breakfast - could we have music - its such a small room and weird with no atmosphere
Positive: Friendly and nice people, good location, modern
Negative: called SPA, but does not have a SPA, Hotel i sunder construction at the moment
Negative: No english breakfast No table and chair in room
Positive: Good value for money. Good location.
Negative: Sauna and wellness area are not available. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Positive: Hotel was very clean. Bed was confortable. Bathroom was nice.
Negative: The windows in my single room were frosted. No natural light came in. At night there was a light in the courtyard on the other side of the frosted windows which was on all night.
