From LGW Gatwick Express train to Victoria and underground to either Lancaster Gate or Bayswater.
From STD train to Liverpool Street and underground to Lancaster Gate.
Follow signs for the M4 to Central London. Over Hammersmith fly-over to the cross-roads.Turn left towards Shepherd’s Bush. At roundabout take the 3rd Exit onto the A40 Continue on this road for about 1 1/3 miles until it becomes the Bayswater Road. Hyde Park is on the right. After Shell Petrol Station take next left - Leinster Gardens and first right into Lancaster Gate.

Positive: Nice person in the restaurant bar. French guy :-)
Negative: Very expensive Hotel Taxi !!!! Reception should have informed the approximately cost beforehand. The price requested by driver was double as ordinary taxi car.
Positive: Excellent location near Hyde Park, Paddington Station, and Oxford Street and other shopping areas. Rather friendly welcome. The room was clean although rather worn out.
Negative: There was no minibar, although so was described. No water came out of the overhead shower in the morning, and the handheld showerhead one was attached to the wall so that it was impossbile to stand while showering (and I am a rather small woman).
Positive: Good location for seeing London, also far enough out of the center to be calmer.
Negative: Room very small
Positive: we were allowed to check in early. Our whish was to have a sepertate beds for the kids, and a double bed for us. This is exactly what we got, and our rooms were next to each other. Great!
Negative: A cup of coffee or hot chocolate in the hotel lounge in the afternoon was £ 3,50!!
