Positive: Adequate for my purposes. My Company requested I would reccommend for future use by regular personnel - NO
Negative: No WiFi as advertised. No smoking rooms as advertised.
Complete renovations ongoing but not advertised.
Negative: NO HOT WATER IN THE ROOM I HAD TO CHANGE,ROOM SIZE NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR TWIN USE
Positive: The location of the hotel is nice being near to the tube station and Hyde Park .
Negative: One late afernoon went in the bathroom in my room to have a shower after a tiring day to find our that there were no bath towels . went down to reception and had to wait quite a while as the rooms officer were not in and the only receptionist had to look for the towels and he finally came back after some 15 minutes and meanwhile there were new guests arrving with no one at reception. i had to stay by the reception to wait for the receptionist to come back.
Positive: lokation
Negative: receptionists (except one - Albanian boy - kind and help willing)
Positive: good selection at breakfast
Negative: Lift is tiny but other then that no complaints
Positive: Location is excellent. Just off 2 tube lines within 5 mins of Hotel. Lots of shops & restaurants close by and right beside Hyde Park. Staff quite friendly.
Negative: Rooms are absolutely teeny and in dire need of decoration. Clean, but thats all I can say in a positive note about them. Should this hotel be freshly decorated, it would make all the difference. Breakfast is very basic. This is by no means a 3 star hotel. All it has going for it at the moment is location. Also we requested early check in and when we arrived were told that our room wouldn't be ready until 2pm! I appreciate this is only a 'request' but felt that they hadn't even bothered to try and accommodate us.
Positive: Clearly the site itself is good and very close to lots of places.
Negative: We were really shocked by the room offered which was in the cellar and had no window to outside. We clearly stated this was unacceptable but staff appeared hesitant to respond. The next room offered was too small to sleep for the people. The third one had some minor shortcomings like windows not fully functional. The whole hotel seems to be under construction more or less (e.g. even some stairs are not fixed so that vou could slip).
Negative: There where an breakfast included it said, but we only got some bread and 4 sorts of jam.. No ham, cheese, eggs and normal things you get for breakfast. Had to buy my own breakfast..NOT HAPPY..
Positive: none
Negative: Too much people pressed into too small space. or example, the rooms are extremely small and there was usually not enough space to find a place at the brakfast tables.
Negative: London is complicated. Very clear instructions how to reach the hotel by foot from the tube stations would be helpful. 5 minutes from both Bayswater and Queensway tube stations is inadequate (and I had once lived in London).
