Positive: warm welcome and helpful staff at all times.
excellent central location with good transport facilities.
reasonable rooms, storage etc

Negative: Confusion over part of our booking and initialy sent to as single room, then offered a twin and to move to a double the next day and finally a double straight away! Given VIP card's as consolation allowing access to VIP lounge although this was not open at week-end and not fully operant on the Monday we left.
Overall the hotel a little faded/worn but due re-furbishment in the New Year,

Positive: We arrived early as we had said on our form and requested a room as we had an appointment to go to. We were going to have to wait 1 1/2 hours for our room which would have taken us over the actual check in time by 30 mins. We were offered a smoking room so we could check in ready for our appointment. The room was lovely and didn't smell too much of smoke.

Negative: Bathroom quite small. TV really bad reception. Nothing else bad.

Positive: Good location and the breakfast was well above average. Quiet location.

Negative: The hotel claims to have undergone a full renovation in 2007, that's why i chose it, the statement is false. My bedroom and bathroom were well worn and threadbare. Torn carpet, broken sink and ripped wallpaper. There was no iron and the heating didn't work, the batteries in the remote control were dated 2004. The business centre cost £8 / 45 Mins. A very poor choice for a business traveller. I have no doubt that the executive rooms would be up to par, but go cheap and you get cheap and nasty. They should be taken to task over their claim of a full renovation in 2007, I can only presume they are referring to the building structure. I have stayed in many hotels in London and this ranks very low on my list.

Negative: Used play station for about 2 minutes. I was not told on the television screen that this is a chargable service. Even after explaining staff at lobby about problem, they would not take it off the bill. Very few flexibility in order to keep us as happy customers. Breakfast was good, but table was waggled with every move - something you should not expect at a 4 start hotel.
