Directions to hotel
Oxford Road Railway Station is opposite the Hotel, Picaddilly Railway station is a 10 minute walk straight down Whitworth Street or 5 mins taxi, approx £4. The bus stops outside and the Metro link stop is St Peter Square at the top of Oxford Road, which is just 3 minutes walk from the hotel.
Exit M62, J17 (Manchester)& follow A56 (Bury New Road) for 5 miles.
Continue on to Victoria Street, this becomes Deansgate Continue along this road for approx 3 miles until the Junction with Whitworth Street and turn left at the lights. Drive through 2 sets of lights and you will find the Palace hotel on the corner of Whitworth Street and Oxfors Street.

Positive: Excellent value for money , great location, will stay again.
Negative: Room must have been used for Smokers in the past, my clothes, suitcases and laptop bag still smell of smoke (24 hours on). Non smokers must ask for a room that has never had smokers.
Positive: Old castle environment, nice interiors in the hall and restoran
Negative: only one lift (no stairs) to fourth floor, small rooms on the fourth floor.
The lift to fourth floor was broken two times during our stay

Negative: windows in my room needed a clean
Positive: Great Hotel, would certainly recommend and at the HRS price it is good value for money
Negative: Some rooms have been refurbed, but these aren't on offer. The other rooms are spacious and most importantly clean. The bathrooms require renovation but are still clean and the history and architecture of the hotel is fantastic. Overall it is recommended and I wouldn't hesitate to go back again for the same price as I paid through HRS.
