Staffordshire is not as popular as some of the neighboring counties, but it has much to offer. Check out Lichfield. Walk through the Staffordshire Moorlands, or explore the Peak District National Park. You can sample the beers in Burton-on-Trent, or even just walk along the canals that cover the whole county. One canal of note is the Caldon Canal, a long canal with loads of walking and cycling trails that run along its length. Take some time out to visit the Gladstone Pottery Museum, and get lost in the National Forest Maize Maze.
The closest airports are Birmingham, East Midlands and Manchester. Staffordshire has an excellent road network, and you will find that it is easiest to travel to your Staffordshire hotel by car. You can of course hire a taxi in the major towns. The M6 runs through the county connecting you to Birmingham and Manchester. The rail network centres around Stoke-on-Trent with connections through to Manchester and London.
