Cannes Mandelieu Airport, or Aéroport de Cannes Mandelieu in French, is the small airport that serves the city of Cannes in the far south of France. Its history dates back to 1905 with people flying into the area and landing on grassy fields, but the airport itself wasn't constructed until 1930. Today the airport is used for both commercial freight flights and tourism, with its main focus on private business flights and aviation training. If you cannot find a flight in to the Cannes Airport, then you can use the nearby Nice International Airport. You can catch a shuttle bus from the airport in to Cannes and form there take a taxi to your Cannes Airport hotel. By car, you can use the A8, but be aware, traffic is congested here, so make time allowances for this. In the city, often the quickest way to get around is on foot. There are regular bus services and taxis everywhere.
