The small island of Miri, with a white sand beach is only 10 minutes away by canoe and boat trips can be arranged. It is a 5-minute drive from the airport to Hôtel Raiatea Lodge. There is a transfer service to and from Raiatea Airport, which costs XPF 2000 per person one-way.
