Derek's Place Eco-Lodge

Hotel Description

Derek's Place - Little Corn Island Located in a remote, tranquil corner of Little Corn Island, Derek’s Place offers an authentic, off-the-grid experience for those seeking simplicity and connection with nature. This is not a 5-star resort—if you're looking for luxury, this may not be your choice. However, if you’re after a laid-back, rustic, and unique getaway, you’ll find peace and authenticity here. The accommodations are basic yet comfortable, featuring eco-friendly amenities powered by wind turbines, solar panels, and a diesel generator. Life here is intertwined with the natural surroundings, so be prepared for the occasional challenges that come with living close to nature—rain, wind, insects, and more are all part of the experience. Derek’s Place operates without traditional Wi-Fi, but internet access is available through Claro’s SIM cards, which can be purchased onsite for a small additional fee. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-run, where we strive to make every guest feel welcome and comfortable. However, this experience requires a spirit of adventure and openness to embrace the slower, simpler pace of life on Little Corn Island. If you're ready to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature, Derek's Place will be the perfect spot for your stay. Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time.
