Heligoland is spoilt by the sun, making it one of the sunniest places for your holiday in Germany. The mild climate is favoured by its proximity to the Gulf Stream. It gives Heligoland the beautiful, not too hot summers and the mild winters, in which the thermometer rarely drops below 2°C. On this North Sea island, the hotel is located on the Hummerklippen, right on the cliff edge of the Oberland. The cliff edge hiking trail starts just a few steps away from the hotel and the lighthouse is also just a few minutes' walk away. There are shops nearby for a little shopping.

The Hotel auf den Hummerklippen is located directly on the cliff edge of Heligoland's Oberland. The Seeside rooms offer a panoramic view over the Unterland, the dune and the harbour to the mouth of the Elbe. Some of the Seeside rooms have a large balcony or terrace overlooking the sea. The hotel takes its name from the famous Heligoland author James Krüss' story - Der Leuchtturm auf den Hummerklippen. Comfortably furnished hotel rooms with TV, telephone and coffee/tea maker await you. You will find a safe in your room, as well as a minibar. W-LAN is free of charge.
