Kahului Airport (OGG): (S) Directions from the airport (15 miles - 30 minutes) As you exit the terminal you will be on Keolani place (hwy 380). Continue onto Kuihelani hwy (also hwy 380). You will reach an intersection at Puunene Avenue, turn left onto Mokulele hwy (Hwy 350). As a land mark you will see King's Cathedral church (large church with blue roof). Continue driving on hwy 350. As you pass the Puunene sugar mill (HC & S) Mokulele hwy will change to hwy 300. Keep through the sugar fields till you get to a four way intersection. You are now in Kihei town. At that stop light, there are two options you may consider: If you would like a scenic route: Continue through the intersection for about a block. You will turn left on north Kihei road and drive south for approximately 6 miles. Kamaole sands will be on the left hand side of the road across the street from Kamaole beach park #3 (one of Maui's popular beaches with golden soft sand, lush green grass, picnic facilities, restrooms and showers). Or, you may turn left onto Piilani hwy (hwy 31) and drive south for approximately 6 miles. Turn right and go down on Keonekai road. You will see Kamaole sands on the left hand side of Keonekai road, however you will need a gate pass to enter through that gate (you will receive your pass after you have checked in. Keep driving until you have reached the stop sign, turn left on south Kihei road. Within a block you will reach Kamaole sands.
