The inn was originally afour-winged farm. Here they started serving drinksand food in the middle of the 1800s. The westjutland nature with the sea and the fjordattracted many painters and other artists.Nymindegab was actually a small community ofartists for a period. One of the first painterswas the young laurits tuxen who came here from1879 and the composer carl nielsen wrote some ofhis music for the opera maskerade here innymindegab.Unfortunately the inn burnt down both in 1936 and1943. The inn as it is today has been totallyrenovated from top to bottom. A whole new wing ofrooms was built in 2002 and in 2006 top-moderncourse and conference facilities were established.Nymindegab kro tempts with a magnificentrestaurant from which you have a captivating viewover the cliffs- the sea and the high west jutlandskies. The menu is changed regularly but it alwayscomprises creatively composed dishes prepared withthe best ingredients of the season.
