[ By car ] From Matsumoto I. C. (Nagano Expressway ) drive towards Kamikochi for 40 min. Turn left at Maekawado traffic lights, drive over red bridge and continue for 10 to 15 min. Turn right at No. 18 road sign and drive for 200 meters / [ By public transport ] From Matsumoto stn. , transfer to Matsumoto electric railway and get off at Shin Shimashima stn. From Shin Shimashima stn, take Alpico bus bound for Suzuran or Shirahone onsen via Norikura kogen and get off at Naonokisaka bus stop. Turn left at No. 18 road sign and walk for 200 meters.

Norikurakogen Onsen Pension Karin is situated in Norikura kogen, in an area of majestic Chubu Sangaku National Park. Pension Karin stands halfway up magnificent Mount Norikura. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, this is the perfect place to enjoy outdoor sports. In the winter season, guests can enjoy celestial views of Mount Norikura. Guests also have the opportunity to go off piste and enjoy hiking in snowshoes and cross country skiing. From spring to summer this area is blessed with lush greenery and in autumn, guests will love the intense colours of the foliage. We are also close to major sightseeing spots. Only a 15 min drive to the Sawando shuttle bus stop. From here, buses leave for Kamikochi, one of Japan's most popular mountain sightseeing spots. 80 min drive to the historical town of Takayama. We have a natural hot springs bath, so please relax with a soak. We bake fresh bread for breakfast, and our dinners are prepared with love. We are looking forward to your visit.
