This 4 storied hotel stands as an unassuming structure on the main road of Karol Bagh. With plans for renovation underway, it will soon have a new look to it. It was founded in 1982. Hotel Kafila is located in the maze of Karol Bagh and is 15 kilometres away from the domestic airport, 18 kilometres from the international airport, 3.5 kilometres from the New Delhi railway station and just 3 Kilometres from Connaught Place, which is the main business and commercial district of Delhi. Hotel Facilities For the guests expediency, the other services include laundry and dry cleaning services, doctor on call, parking facility, tour desk, sightseeing, car rental facility, babysitting, internet access and safety deposit lockers. Lobby The current makeshift lobby and reception at Hotel Kafila is a small space with just enough to shuffle around in or sit on the 4 seater patterned sofa facing the reception table. The reception has a black marble top and is a semi circular table with neat stacks of paper and other paraphernalia. This little reception leads to the other floors of the hotel. Rooms Amenities A total of 30 rooms are divided into 15 Deluxe Rooms, 8 Superior Rooms and 7 Suites. The Deluxe Rooms have an interesting feature of a life size Japanese hand fan mounted on the wall behind the bed. The Suites are the biggest rooms and are the only ones with bathtubs in the attached bathrooms. The Superior Rooms have a small changing area and a bathroom connected but situated at a height as compared to the rest of the room. Also, the Superior Rooms and Suites enjoy complimentary breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. All the rooms have small seating spaces with wooden chairs and centre tables. The television in each room is located on a swivel top at a height. The facilities in the rooms for the convenience and comfort of the guests include cable television, direct dial (STD/ISD) telephones, mini refrigerator with 2 bottles of mineral water (at an extra charge of consumed), air conditioning, 24 hours room service and geysers in the bathrooms. Also, only 3 rooms in the hotel are carpeted while the others are tiled or have marble flooring; you can pick and choose with whatever suits you the most. Dining Kafila Restaurant is situated on the first floor of the hotel and offers a multi cuisine fare. It is open from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm and offers a buffet for breakfast (8:00 am to 10:30 am), lunch (12:30 pm to 2:30 pm) and dinner (8:00 pm to 10:30 pm). This area will have a bar soon as their liquor license has already been granted. The restaurant is furnished with suede maroon sofas and chairs and marble top tables. A television is situated at a height on a sturdy wall fixture.
