ambience/atmosphere
rooms and bathroom are very tied . Could hardly open the bedroom window ( which was definitely in need of a paint ) in hot weather . Given the price per night , I was expected the quality of the room/bathroom to be better

The room was well appointed.
The room was extremely hot and the window could not be opened. Whilst we were having breakfast staff were hoovering. We had to wait a long time to be served breakfast as there were only two staff. Having requested a quiet room we were given one over the outside bar area. Also there shoul pd have been a bottle of mineral water available in the room.

Most of all: the very English atmosphere.... the building, Furniture, pub, dining room etc.
Well, because of the old wooden floors (they were covered by carpets though), it could be quite noisy. One could easily hear foot steps from the people in the other rooms or corridor. It didn't bother me as the Nights were quiet :-)

Really good value for money, restaurant good with varied choice of reasonable meals, staff very friendly and an overall atmosphere of a good old fashioned English pub.
