I had a wonderful experience at Hans Jodler. Johann Pilz was a wonderful host and was able to accommodate for me when my travel partner was unable to come anymore and switched me into a single room. The hotel is centrally located and is walking distance to all amenities. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend to my friends and family.

Scenic advantages of a hotel in Hallstatt
Hallstatt is situated in the Salzkammergut state of Austria. Come stay in a hotel in Hallstatt for its neolithic history and the classical concerts in its ice caves, all within easy commuting distance from the high-end business world of Salzburg.
What is unique about Hallstatt?
Named for Hallstatt Lake, this market town is located within a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Excavations in the area have unearthed a vast burial ground dating from the Iron Age. The rich natural salt deposits in the region have been a source of salt for centuries. One of the oldest Neolithic finds is the so-called 'Shoetrees Wedge', an early tool that offers evidence of our ancestors' engineering abilities. Some of the world's earliest existing iron forges were also found here.
What will my experience of business life be like?
Just an hour and a half outside of Salzburg's financial epicentre, you won't find a more atmospheric hideaway in Austria. Ancient history, ice caves and a beautiful market town with high speed internet greet you in Hallstatt. Salzburg's Business School enjoys a strong reputation and offers informative and engaging lectures on the latest skill areas required of future executives. Topics such as International Management and Leadership are handled masterfully by international guest speakers as well as faculty. Join in the Salzburg Business Run in September, a light-hearted highlight of the local business calendar, in which top companies in the region, including Oberbank, Porsche Holding GmbH, and Red Bull GmbH, participate. The business community here finds superb support from the local government and infrastructure.

What can I do in my leisure time from my hotel in Hallstatt?
Row out onto the exquisite Hallstatt lake or journey into the nearby Dachstein caves. Set in the towering Dachstein mountain range, these magnificent limestone caves are also the venue for classical 'Ice Concerts' every August, which make acoustic use of the stunning formations. The Parish Church of the Assumption is host to the Hallstatt Marie Altar, a significant example of late Gothic Austrian style. There is a small, unique ossuary on site where a total of 610 skulls have been stacked. Or, less morbid and near your hotel in Hallstatt is the fascinating Hallstatt Museum, next to the Natural History Museum Vienna, which holds the largest collection of artefacts discovered in the area.
