Relaxing time at one of the 6 private baths. Once you reach Nakao Hot Springs, all you see will be the mountains. Time for you to do nothing and think of nothing. Take some time to rest your body and soul. Our inn is designed in simple European wooden style among mountains. Immerse yourself in the forest and feel the nature surrounding you. Our menu is based of local favorites and local sake. Our inn's roast beef might be a happy surprise for you when you miss Western food during the trip. Our meals are neither fancy nor flashy, but it's made with love by the two owners.
Location of the hotel
Our inn is located in Okuhida Onsengo, Takayama, Gifu. Accessible from Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto, Kanazawa and Matsumoto. Renting a car from the airport is also another option. From Tokyo: Take Tokaido Shinkansen to Nagoya, Hokuriku Shinkansen to Toyama, or take a direct express bus. By Rail: Take Tokaido Shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagoya and transfer to JR Takayama Line to Takayama. An alternate way is to take Hokuriku Shinkansen to Toyama and transfer to Takayama Line to Takayama Station. After arriving at Takayama Station, take the bus headed to Shinhotaka Ropeway from the adjacent bus terminal. By Express Bus: Take Hida Takayama bus from Tokyo Shinjuku Bus Terminal. After arriving at Hirayu Bus Terminal, transfer to the Shinhotaka Ropeway bus.
