Situated beside Kamo River, Tazuru is traditional Japanese-style accommodation boasting delicately prepared Japanese cuisine. Popular Kiyomizu-dera Temple is a 20-minute walk away. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the public area. Lively Shijo and Gion areas are within a 10-minute walk, and Kiyomizu-gojo Subway Station is a 5-minute walk from the property. JR Kyoto Station can be reached in a 10-minute bus ride. Offering a historic charm, each room comes with tatami (woven-straw) flooring, a low table and futon bedding. Guests can unwind in the room with a yukata robe on, while watching satellite channels on a flat-screen TV. Traditional Japanese dishes are served in the chic dining room, which offers views of the river. Tazuru restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner, and offers a riverside terrace dining experience unique to Kyoto’s summer. The full amount of the reservation must be paid at check-in. Guests with a dinner-included booking must check in by 19:00. Guests who check in after this time may not be served dinner, and no refund will be given.
