Established in 1817, Bosenkan is a ryokan with a 3600 square metre Japanese garden and various hot spring baths including a spacious open-air bath. Free shuttles from/to JR Gero Station is available. Free WiFi is provided at the lobby, and free private parking is also available at this ryokan. Bosenkan has been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2016. Each room is fitted with a flat-screen TV. Certain rooms feature a seating area where you can relax. Towels, yukata robes, toothbrushes and a hairdryer are provided. There is free shuttle service, a 24-hour front desk and gift shop at the property. Gero Onsen is 500 metres from Bosenkan, while Gero Hot Spring is 600 metres from the property. Takayama city is a 60-minute drive away, while Shirakawa-go is a 120-minute drive away. Guests arriving after 22:00 must inform the property in advance. If the property is not informed, the booking may be treated as a no show. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation. You must check in by 18:00 to eat dinner at the property. Guests who check in after this time may not be served dinner, and no refund will be given. Please note that meal requests are not accepted on the day of arrival. Guests who wish to have meals at the property must book a meal-inclusive rate at the time of booking. Please inform the property in advance if you have any food allergies or dietary needs. The free shuttle from/to JR Gero Station is available. The shuttle departs from the station at 14:30, 15:00, 15:30 and 16:30. The open-air hot spring bath is open 15:00-10:00. At a surcharge, guests can reserve the private hot spring bath at the time of check-in.
