Featuring beautiful sceneries of the woods, Ryu Resort and Spa is located in the tranquil Shokawa Highland area, a 50-minute drive or free shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station (reservation needed). UNESCO World Heritage Site Shirakawa-go is a 45-minute drive away. This resort went through a complete refurbishment and has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor since 2015. Free WiFi with speeds up to 100 mbps is available in all rooms and public areas. Guests can soak in the natural open-air hot spring bath with view or engage in outdoor activities. Different coloured yukata robes are available for women for free. Room features tatami (woven-straw) flooring and Japanese futon bedding. A spacious living room area includes a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, and an electric kettle. The en suite bathroom features amenities and slippers. All rooms were renovated in 2015. A tennis court and outdoor swimming pool is open during the summer season. There is also a terrace bar that guests can enjoy in the evenings. For breakfast, a Japanese-set menu consisting of traditional local delicacies including hoba miso and tofu are on offer. Hotel Ryu Resort and Spa's traditional multi-course dinner feature Hida beef teppanyaki and fresh fish delivered from Toyama Bay. The property is a 50-minute drive from both Shirakawago Historic Village and Takayama Historical Old Town. Dynaland and Takasu Snow Park are respectively a 35 and 30-minute drive away. Please note that the maximum occupancy of the room includes all children and cannot be exceeded under any circumstances.
