Suhl is located on the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest in the valley of Lauter and Hasel. The city is surrounded by mountains between 650 m and 983 m altitude. On the world-famous 168 km long hiking trail Rennsteig you can enjoy the green nature to the fullest. In winter you will find first-class groomed trails and in the winter sports resort Oberhof (only 15 km from Suhl) lure bobsleigh track and competition venues for cross-country skiing, biathlon and ski jumping.

Die Zimmer sind dringend zu sanieren. Sie strahlen im Bad den Charme der 80 er Jahre aus. Die Konkurrenz am Ort ist deutlich besser aufgestellt. Die HOGA Sterne sind im Jahr 2025 nicht zu rechtfertigen.
