This resort retains an exclusive feel with fewer travelers making it to this resort town, especially not the larger tour groups, providing visitors to this beach resort a little more peace and quiet. However, the picturesque beaches can still get crowded in the peak season. Many visitors compare this destination to Monte Carlo, due to its many high-end and luxury hotels.
Located just a short drive from Palma de Mallorca, this beachside resort is easy to access to get away and relax while still being close the city. Most people get around the town on foot, but there are also public bus, bicycles, and taxis. Parking can be difficult during peak season, and the hills can make cycling challenging, which is why most people rely upon walking and public transportation to get around the resort town, including to and from Palma de Mallorca.
The quiet resort of Illetas has a few nightclubs, although not as many as in nearby Palma. Many of the hotels feature nightlife entertainment for the guests and other visitors.
