Can Pastilla - Relax on the coast of Mallorca

Can Pastilla can be found on the western edge of the island of Mallorca. Originally a small fishing village, the town is now one of the main holiday resorts on the island, and was one of the first to be developed by the British in the 1960’s. Its advantage is its location, just a 10- to 15-minute drive from the island’s international airport. During your stay, you’ll have every opportunity to take advantage of all the activities this stunning island has to offer. From lazing under the hot Mediterranean sun to the enjoyment of endless water activities, Can Pastilla has something for everyone. The island’s capital city Palma and the popular nightlife area of El Arenal are both within easy reach from this popular resort town.

Location: In southern Mallorca

Can Pastilla is located on the south coast of the popular Mediterranean island of Mallorca, off the coast of Spain. The resort is known well for its convenient location, just a short ten-minute drive from the island’s international airport, Son Sant Joan. You can access the city centre by taxi, bus, or hired car from the airport.

Business: Fishing town turned tourist resort

Originally, this resort town was a humble fishing village; however, the island now maintains its economy through the service sector, almost exclusively through tourism, which operates year-round here, and is a popular destination for Europeans on summer holiday and even long winter weekends. There is no shortage of businesses in the form of hotels, bed and breakfasts, restaurants, cafes, and bars.

Culture: See some historic attractions and markets

Aside from the Church of Sant Antonio de la Playa, the majority of cultural attractions here are located in Palma, within easy reach from the city centre. In Palma, you can witness the beautiful Cathedral La Seu, the Olivar Market held on Saturdays, and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the city’s Old Town.

Activities: Fun on land and sea!

Many of Mallorca’s towns offer a range of activities to be enjoyed, and Can Pastilla is no different. Light winds off the shore make wind-surfing and kite-surfing popular options for daytime activities, and families love to take their children to Aqualand, the nearby water park. If you prefer something more relaxing, these golden sands are perfectly suited for the most popular activities—sunbathing.
