Balos Beach Hotel – a complex made up of 4 buildings cascading down to a private beach offers privacy, tranquility and is a perfect holiday get-away. Built in 1999, restored in 2003 and again in 2007, Balos Beach is open from May to end October every year– and we look forward to having you stay with us!Apart from the accommodation and hotel facilities a key feature is that Balos Beach is perfectly located: the town of Kastelli and all its conveniences are a 5 minute drive away (6 kilometers), the well known beach of Balos is 15 minutes drive away (9 kilometers) , the famed beach of Falassarna a 10 minute drive and the Elafonisos beach a 45 minute drive.The main building is home to the reception, cafe, breakfast and restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Here any meal is a treat topped with magical sea views to the beach of Kalliviani with only the sound of the waves and birds chirping to sooth your soul.The studios, apartments, junior suites and suites (73 units in total) are housed in 3 separate buildings. These units are functional, spacious, airy and take full advantage of the sea views. All the units lead to the swimming pools and beach. At the pool area, you will find a pool bar, a large swimming pool (250sqm), with unique design and shape (up to 1.7m depth), a children’s swimming pool (80sqm) at 0.50cm depth, sun beds and umbrellas and a outdoor shower. Separate change room facilities, with showers are also available.From the swimming pools, make your way down the hillside of typical Cretan terrain to the rocky beach (about 20 meters from the pool area). This section of the beach is made up of 3 coves – just the place to read a book, gather your thoughts, relax and rejuvenate. Walk further on to your right to where the beach is just the place for swimming and sunbathing. Here the beach has small pebbles and sand (shingle) and the sea is well suited to families with small children as it is shallow.You know you have found the just the right place when you walk into Balos Beach and meet its hospitable owners (Kyriako and his wife Anna).
